The HVR solution offers opportunities for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to embed replication within their own product offerings. HVR partners with a number of leading application developers, providing High Availability and Real-Time Data Integration solutions so that applications can operate continuously and provide the most up-to-date information for their customers.
Embedded Replication For companies which sell a database-based application, replication is a potential business opportunity. Larger customers who use the application could well be interested in the higher availability that a standby database can provide. Or they may want their data piped into a data warehouse in real-time. Both these requirements can be met by offering that customer an HVR-based replication module. This could be priced as percentage of the cost of the basic application. That way a perceived weakness of the application becomes an extra feature and a new source of revenue. |
ISV Royalty LicensingHVR Software works with ISVs to provide a flexible licensing structure so that the HVR technology's price structure matches the ISV's own price structure. For example, a negotiated price would mean that HVR is priced at a percentage of the cost of the basic application. |
