HVR Database Compare supplies two flavors of compare.
Bulk compare means that HVR Database Compare performs checksums on each of the tables in the replication channel. This is fast but does not allow Database Compare to report on the actual differences.
Row wise compare means that HVR extracts the data from all databases and compares it row by row with the corresponding rows in other databases. Optionally, for each difference detected an SQL statement can be created; an insert, update or delete. This statement is for reference purposes only – Database Compare itself will never perform any changes on databases involved.
